OUR PROGRAMS | SOCIAL ACTION-TIKKUN OLAM Tikkun Olam-Social Action
At Kol Shalom we take the responsibility of Tikkun Olam seriously. Our social action program is designed to provide opportunities for all our members—from young to old—to work together in a variety of projects. Our members participate in a congregation-wide High Holiday food drive, provide meals for shelters, visit seniors at the Hebrew Home, and help renovate low-income housing. In addition, our members have frequently reached out to members of the Jewish community in need including Israeli victims of terror. Many of our members have taken part in these projects and have demonstrated their commitment to helping others through social action. By doing this, they have strengthened Kol Shalom by working together to fulfill mitzvot.
