Kol Shalom’s book group has chosen The Hilltop, by Israeli author Assaf Gavron, as its next selection. The novel, which won Israel’s prestigious Bernstein Prize for literature, imagines a fictional West Bank settlement and its inhabitants and relationships with Arab villagers. Discussions are informal and all readers are welcome whenever they can participate.
