Kol Shalom will be honoring our 3rd through 6th graders in their journey of Jewish education by presenting them with the gift of a personal siddur.
During Shabbat Live on Friday night, the rabbi will call each child up to the bimah to receive their own siddur from the congregation. Once everyone has their siddur, parents will also be invited up for a moment of special blessing of our kids. Our hope is that your child will cherish their siddur, and use it throughout their years of Jewish education. And then, when they become B’nai Mitzvah, they will each use the same siddur when they lead services for their special day.
Shabbat Live is a joyful Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Sally Heckelman and Rabbi Steinlauf, accompanied by the Kol Shalom band. Everyone is invited to join us a light Shabbat dinner following the special Shabbat Live.
