 \nPlease join us for a gathering at Montgomery County's only kosher distil
 lery!\nSong Dog Farm Distillery was recently profiled in the Washington J
 ewish Week.\nWe'll get a tour of the facility\, learn about the backgroun
 d of the husband-and-wife founder team\, and learn about the processes f
 or distilling and flavoring the products. We'll taste the products of cou
 rse\, and they have products for sale on site.\nTime on October 18 is 1:30
  pm (meet at Kol Shalom)\, 2 pm start at distillery. We will organize desi
 gnated drivers/transportation. The distillery is in Boyds MD\, a 20+ minut
 e drive from Kol Shalom. Non-male participation is welcome! Please RSVP to
  Marc Lieber\nAbout the Distillery. Song Dog sells bourbon\, rye whiskey\
 , vodka\, gin\, liqueurs and ready-to-pour cocktails. Its ingredients are 
 sourced locally. All production at Song Dog is certified kosher by the Ch
 icago Rabbinical Council. Natural ingredients such as grains and water are
  kosher\, but other ingredients must be supervised. No food or drink is pe
 rmitted in the production room in order to keep the facility kosher.\nThei
 r products have also gained recognition in national competitions. Song Dog
  took home five medals in the 2026 American Craft Spirits Awards\, includ
 ing one gold for its straight rye whiskey. Song Dog won a silver medal fo
 r its straight bourbon whiskey at the American Craft Spirits Association
 ’s 2025 Heartland Whiskey Competition and four silver medals at the in
 augural Kosher Spirits Awards for its gin\, amaro\, elderflower liqueur 
 and orange liqueur.
