Join us at the Yeshiva for the Arts as we present a full readthrough of our own Alan Elsner’s new play, “The Last Supper”: What happens with a Jewish couple and a Christin evangelical couple meet for the first time after their children get engaged? Do they even speak the same language? Sparks fly as our well-meaning characters grapple with Interfaith marriage, America’s red-blue divide, religion, gender, history, memory, tradition and some very unwelcome surprises. Immediately following the readthrough, Rabbi Gil Steinlauf will host a talk-back with the playwright, the director and the actors to address the themes of the play from a Jewish perspective.
