Kol Shalom’s book group will read and discuss Palestine 1936: The Great Revolt and the Roots of the Middle East Conflict, by Oren Kessler. Recently published, the book tells the story of what became known as the Arab Revolt and does so in an evenhanded way from the Jewish, Arab, and British perspectives – providing background to understanding the ongoing conflict. Discussions are informal and readers are welcome whenever they can participate.
