Yetzirah Registration – Nigun as Musical Art of the Soul

With Rabbi Yosef Goldman

In the Jewish tradition, song is a powerful tool of spiritual connection, opening our hearts to wonder, grounding us, and connecting us with the divine presence that surrounds and fills all of creation. Jewish song serves a purpose much deeper than what we conventionally expect from “congregational singing”. In this session, we’ll explore the practice of singing niggunim as a uniquely Jewish spiritual artform. We will also study classical Jewish texts that frame our experience and trace the origins of this transformative musical tradition.
