As we welcome Kislev, we will go to Emma’s Torch for brunch on Sunday, November 8 at 10:30am. Emma’s Torch is a non-profit enterprise providing culinary training and employability to refugees. The cafe in Silver Spring ( 1200 East West Highway) is the hub of the local community and an integral part of their culinary educational program. Our visit will include a talk with founder and Executive Director, Kerry Brodie. Please RSVP to Sally or Barbara if you plan to attend.
