Big Questions. Good Conversation and Lunch.
Is getting a tattoo really against Jewish law? What would you do if a friend were drinking or vaping? Can you love Israel and still criticize its government?
These are the kinds of questions we’ll take up at Hebrew Chai this year. I’m inviting teens in 8th through 12th grade to join me for lunch and honest conversation about the choices they face and the world they’re growing into. We’ll draw on Jewish texts, hear different views, and make room to disagree and laugh together. Students will help choose some of our topics, too.
We’ll meet on eight Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with lunch served:
2026: October 18, November 15, December 13
2027: January 10, February 7, March 14, April 11, May 16
I’m looking forward to getting to know our teens and hearing what’s on their minds. Whether you have strong opinions or are still figuring out what you think, there’s a place for you at the table.
