Hasidic Wisdom on the Weekly Torah Portion
Starting in September, Thursdays, 1:00-1:45pm
Beit Midrash and on Zoom
The Torah speaks not only to the mind, but also to the heart and soul. In this weekly class, we will explore the upcoming Torah portion through the teachings of the great Hasidic masters, whose profound and imaginative readings reveal the spiritual depths hidden within the biblical text.
Drawing on voices such as the Baal Shem Tov, the Sefat Emet, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, and others, we will discover how each week’s parashah offers timeless wisdom about faith, character, relationships, joy, struggle, and the search for God’s presence in everyday life.
Whether you are new to Hasidic thought or a longtime student of Torah, this class invites you to encounter the weekly parashah in a way that is intellectually engaging, spiritually nourishing, and deeply relevant to the journey of Jewish living.
No prior knowledge of Hebrew or Hasidic texts is required—only curiosity and an open heart.
