Our Chesed Committee embodies the compassion at the heart of Kol Shalom. When someone in our community is facing illness, recovering from surgery, welcoming a new baby, sitting shiva, or simply feeling alone, Chesed steps in with love and practical support.
Volunteers help in many meaningful ways—visiting home‑bound congregants, delivering meals, bringing soup to someone who’s sick, offering rides to medical appointments, preparing gift baskets for new parents, and providing Shiva meals and refreshments for Shiva minyanim. These small acts of kindness create a powerful sense of connection and remind each of us that we are held by our community.
We warmly welcome new members to join us in this mitzvah. Whether you enjoy cooking, driving, visiting, or simply offering a friendly presence, your involvement strengthens the fabric of our congregation.
If you’d like to volunteer, or if you know someone who could use a little extra support, please reach out to Anna Kaminer or Rebecca Smigel, Chesed Committee Chairs. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
