The war in Israel continues to affect our daily lives.
We continue to pray for the welfare and the victory of Tzahal (IDF) as we stand with Israel.
REMBERING THE VICTIMS
On October 27, 2025, MAKOM, Kol Shalom, and community members dedicated the Red South Garden, in remembrance of the October 7th massacre in Israel. This collaborative work features 180 carefully crafted Kalaniot (anemones) that symbolize the Hebrew word Chai, meaning “life.” It is a tribute to resilience and the determination to continue living. The tribute video includes reflections from: Iris Aharonovich, Director of Fun, Faith, and Experience at Makom, David Ervin, CEO of Makom Michael Spiegel, President of Kol Shalom, Benjamin Eliav, Deputy of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., Cantor Asa Fradkin, Cantor of Beit El Congregation, and Maya Ezra, Makom Shlicha.
There are many ways we can support Israel. Below is a list of resources to guide you in your efforts to support Israel as well as resources to address this difficult time.
