Kol Shalom Book Discussion: What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank

February 28, 2021
10:00 am - 11:00 am

Kol Shalom’s book group will turn to a collection of short stories by the renowned Jewish American author, Nathan Englander: What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank. Englander’s characters largely define themselves through the embrace or rejection of Jewish traditions. He uses allegory and folkloric images (à la Isaac Bashevis Singer) to explore questions of morality and history. Discussions are informal and readers are welcome whenever they can participate.
