Kol Shalom Book Discussion:
The Book of Lights, by Chaim Potok
Kol Shalom’s book group will read one of the great Jewish American novelists for its next selection: Chaim Potok’s The Book of Lights. The novel’s protagonist, a rabbinical student, searches for a reaffirmation of faith through Kabbalah and in his military chaplaincy in the Far East. All readers are welcome whenever they can participate.
