Over 1 in 3 (35.6%) women and 1 in 4 men (28.5%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

JCADA encourages Purple Shabbat to heighten awareness of Domestic Violence Awareness. Hosting Purple Shabbat signals that our community we support survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), reinforce that abuse will not be tolerated, and normalizes conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors. Additionally, we are helping ensure tour members have access to JCADA’s life-saving services and resources so everyone can live safe and empowered lives.
